We are dogfooding it around the rhythm of a dog-grooming day, so the next appointment, the unfinished job, and the small thing that needs a nudge are easier to see together.

Which trades does Clerkettle support?

Dog grooming is the focus today and the workflow we are actively dogfooding. Clerkettle also has configurable service types and statuses, so it can be a fit for other small, appointment-led trades with customers, work records, and follow-ups. We would rather learn the shape of your work than pretend every trade runs the same way.

How much does Clerkettle cost, and what is included?

Accepted Answer

The current plans are Solo at $19 per month or $190 per year for one groomer, Salon at $49 per month or $490 per year for a small team, and Shop at $99 per month or $990 per year for a multi-operator shop. Every plan includes the core workspace for appointments, customer and pet records, job notes, reminders, inventory, and CSV import. Yearly plans include two months on us; prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

Can I bring my existing customers and dogs in from a CSV?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Clerkettle currently imports customer and pet records from a two-section CSV. The browser previews the file before anything is saved; imports are limited to 1 MB and 1,000 data rows, with up to 500 customers and 500 pets. Pet rows match to customers by owner email. Duplicate customer emails, missing owner emails, and pet rows with no matching customer are skipped safely and listed for review. Appointment history and job records are not part of this CSV import yet.

How do reminders work?

You can create email reminder rules for vaccination follow-ups, missed appointments, and unfinished grooming jobs. Each rule has a delay and repeat cadence, and enabled rules are processed daily. Clerkettle sends only when the customer record has a valid email address, with delivery tracked so the same reminder occurrence is not sent twice.

Where does my Clerkettle data live?

Your workspace data lives in the hosted Clerkettle application database backed by PostgreSQL. We are deliberately clear about that without making up a storage region, retention promise, or certification. When you preview a CSV, it stays in your browser until you choose to import the records.
